Cadillac One or Simply The Beast

We must admit that after JFK Lincoln Convertible, Barack Obama's Presidential limousine has been the most popular of them all. ''The Beast'' has been a star in itself when it was just at the prototype level. There has been so many tv documentaries and magazine article about it even before it rolled out for the first time.

This is not a conventional limousine like in the past. This is a rolling tank with so much to protect the President of the United States against all sorts of potential attacks anywhere it goes.

1961 Lincoln Convertible SS-100-X

The most remembered Presidential Limousine has to be the 1961 Lincoln Convertible bearing the US Secret Service code name SS-100-X. The Presidential Limousine used by President John F. Kennedy when he was assassinated in Dallas , Texas on November 22nd 1963. This was the first time a President was killed in a Presidential assassination attempt in a Presidential car, but was not the last one. This particular limousine was the last to be convertible, and was later retrofitted during the Presidency of Lyndon B. Johnson and and remained in service until 1978 and was retired to the Henry Ford Museum where it can be seen with the hard roof.
